The foundations of Taipec
Taipec
was formed as a sister company to the successful Landmarq Technologies
Limited which has been established since 1989 with a reputation built on
the distribution of high quality PC products from Taiwan coupled with
unrivalled levels of service and a highly efficient import, warehousing
and despatch facility.
The conception of Taipec
With
our founders being of Taiwanese origin they have always strived along
with friends, family and colleagues to source traditional Taiwanese
products recognising the subtle yet important differences which set them
apart from other Asia regions. This, along with the overall
enlightenment and desire of UK and European consumers to experience
worldwide cuisines is where Taipec was conceived.
So why Taiwanese food?
For
many years now the term “Chinese food” had gained a worldwide
reputation for its style and general flavours, however the term can be
over-generalised in its classification.
The
food industry of Taiwan can be set apart from the typical perception of
“Chinese cuisine”, having developed in the last 50 years a true
appreciation of different tastes and palates through flair, flamboyance
and ingenuity. The passionate nature of the Taiwanese people is widely
recognised as being best demonstrated through its food industry. The
Taiwanese are renowned for being masters of pushing the boundaries of
traditional flavours, adapting, experimenting and developing them
constantly. One could say, that food is the first and foremost pastime
of the traditional Taiwanese family. To understand Taiwan is to
understand the love that the Taiwanese have for cuisine. Our founders
would like to share this passion with the rest of the world.
