3 Strange Bubble Teas that will pull you into the Upside Down
3 bubble teas inspired by Netflix series Stranger Things to wow your customers. Season 5 is coming out the 27th of November 2025 in the UK, so treat your customers to a Hellfire’s Hex, Vecna’s Spell or Mindflayer’s Pull as they are easy to make, visually striking and built to sell.
Ingredients
RECIPE 1: Hellfire Hex
- 1 scoop Tapioca Pearls
- 200ml black tea
- 200ml Lemonade
- 3 to 4 ladles strawberry syrup (can be replaced with pomegranate, cranberry or watermelon syrup)
RECIPE 2: Vecna’s Spell
- 1 scoop strawberry popping ball
- 200ml green tea
- 2 to 4 ladles strawberry syrup
- 200ml cola
RECIPE 3: Mindflayer’s Pull
- 1 to 2 ladles blueberry syrup
- 1 to 2 ladles strawberry syrup
- 1 pinch edible glitter
- ice
- 1 scoop Grape star-shaped coconut jelly
- 200ml Lemonade
Method
RECIPE 1: Hellfire's Hex
- To begin with, add the tapioca pearls to a serving cup.
- Then pour in the black tea and follow with the lemonade.
- After that, carefully layer the strawberry syrup on top to create a red gradient over the tea.
- For a lighter finish, you can dilute the syrup slightly with water before pouring it in.
- If you prefer a sweeter taste, stir in one to two ladles of sugar syrup.
- In the end, seal the cup and it’s ready to serve.

RECIPE 2: Vecna's Curse
- At the start, place the strawberry popping balls into a serving cup.
- Next, pour in the green tea along with the strawberry syrup so the flavours begin to blend.
- Then, slowly top up the cup with cola until full, creating a dark layer over the popping balls.
- Meanwhile, if extra sweetness is desired, mix in one to two ladles of sugar syrup.
- Finally, seal the cup and serve.

RECIPE 3: Mindflayer's Pull
- In the beginning, combine the strawberry and blueberry syrup directly in the serving cup.
- Once they are mixed, add ice together with a pinch of edible glitter for a shimmering effect.
- After that, drop in the star shaped grape jelly and stir thoroughly so everything is coated.
- As the mixture comes together, pour in the lemonade to complete the base.
- To enhance the colour contrast, you can then finish with a ladle of strawberry syrup.
- Additionally, for more sweetness, add one to two ladles of sugar syrup.
- Lastly, seal the cup and serve.
