Where Our Snacks Come From
Taipec supplies a wide range of snacks from Taiwan. This includes the iconic Pineapple Cakes and other flavoured cakes, as well as Boba Mochi in Matcha Latte and Sea Salt Coffee flavours that reflect modern tastes. We also offer crunchy snacks made from seeds, peas, peanuts, and prunes with a touch of flavour.
Some snacks feature flavours from South Korea and Japan, such as Kimchi Soy crackers or Teriyaki Soy crackers.
As a Bubble Tea supplier, we also offer snacks with a bubble tea twist. Try our Boba Milk Tea Mochi, Boba Nougat Biscuit, or Boba Tea Grain Snacks.
How Snacks Are Enjoyed
Asian snacks are popular for both gifts and personal enjoyment. Some are perfect for gifting, while others are for snacking. Most can be eaten alone, thanks to their strong flavours, or paired with drinks and meals.
Taiwanese Pineapple Cake, Green Tea cake or Mango Cake makes an ideal gift. The sweet, crumbly crust surrounds a rich filling for a satisfying blend of taste and texture. Mochi is another popular gift in Taiwan, often shared during weddings, New Year celebrations, or as a token of appreciation.
Light, crunchy snacks are great for daily enjoyment. Longan and Jujube or Caramel sunflower seeds, or spicy, wasabi, mustard, and garlic peas are perfect for work, picnics, or relaxing at home.
Animal Jelly Straws bring a nostalgic twist and a refreshing treat for hot days. Store them in the fridge to keep every bite juicy. Flavours include Mango, Passion Fruit, Lychee, and Grape.
We also offer seafood snacks such as Fried Tuna Fibre, Shredded and Rolled Squid, Pollock Fish Snacks, and Grilled Squid Strips. Tuna floss has a delicate texture, sweet and savoury, and works well on rice, congee, or noodles. Other seafood snacks are ready to eat as they are. For Pollock fish snacks, heat in the microwave for a hot, crispy twist.
Seaweed snacks have become a staple in Taiwan. Low in calories and rich in minerals, they appeal to health-conscious consumers. We offer Seaweed crackers, Konjac Brown Rice Rolls, Oatcakes, Corn Roll, Wheat Crackers, and Rice Crackers. Our new Seaweed Crisps come in Sweet Chilli, Vegan Cheese, Salt and Vinegar, and Sea Salt. Enjoy them as a snack, in sandwiches, salads, soups, or even in homemade rice balls.
What Makes Asian Snacks Different
Asian snacks offer a wide range of flavours, especially fruit flavours like Grape, Strawberry, Passionfruit, and Lychee. Some products come in multiple flavours, such as mochi with 23 options or seed snacks with six seasonings.
Asian snacks also transform vegetables and other ingredients into creative forms. Seaweed becomes crispy sheets, beans become crunchy roasted treats, and dried fruits and vegetables get unique twists. Western snacks, by comparison, focus more on chocolate and pastries.
Many Asian snacks cater to dietary needs. You’ll find vegetarian and gluten-free options that are both tasty and suitable for a health-conscious lifestyle.
