How To Prepare Tapioca Peals
Master the process of preparing tapioca pearls with this guide for the classic, slow-cook method. Follow these steps to create pearls that are soft, chewy, and the perfect complement to your bubble tea recipes.
Method
Equipment:
- Large Pot with a lid
- Sieve
- Bowl
Suggested Serving Size: 50g cooked pearls per 500ml drink
Instructions:
- Boil water in a Large Pot
- Add Tapioca Pearls to the pot at a ratio of 1g:10ml, make sure you regularly stir
- Once the Tapioca Pearls starts floating reduce to medium heat and let it cook for 20 minutes. Stir the balls occasionally to prevent sticking to the pot and to each other.
- Take the pot off the heat put the lid on and let it rest for 20 minutes
- Strain the Tapioca with a sieve and rinse them with cold water
- Soak the Tapioca in a bowl with syrup
The cooked tapioca balls are suggested to be consumed within 4-6 hours.
