Bubble tea, also known as boba tea, has taken the beverage world by storm with its unique combination of tea, milk and chewy tapioca pearls. Among the myriad of flavours available, strawberry bubble tea stands out for its refreshing taste and vibrant colour. With Valentine’s Day approaching, the red and pink colours and the sweet taste of strawberries make it the perfect flavour to mark the occasion.

In this guide, we’ll discuss the ingredients and methods required to make two delicious strawberry-themed bubble teas.

The strawberry flavour, with its sweet and slightly tart profile, quickly gained popularity in the bubble tea community due to its delightful taste and visually appealing aesthetic. Today, strawberry bubble tea is a favourite among tea enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

Recipe 1: Hearty Strawberry Milk Tea

To create the perfect strawberry milk bubble tea, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Tapioca Pearls: The heart of any bubble tea, tapioca pearls are known for their chewy consistency and delicious sugary flavour that comes from the brown sugar syrup or hazelnut syrup that is poured on it.
  • Fructose Syrup: Just a ladle or two of fructose syrup will bring a wonderful sweetness to the drink.
  • Strawberry Flavour Powder: This powder brings a delicious strawberry fragrance and a slightly creamy taste to the drink.
  • Creamer Powder: The strong natural milk flavour and extra smooth texture perfectly enhance the creamy strawberry taste.
  • Ice Cubes: Essential for achieving the signature icy and refreshing quality of bubble tea.

Once you have acquired these ingredients, it is time to assemble them and make our strawberry milk tea!

  1. Start by adding 200ml of hot water to your cocktail shaker, forming the base of our drink.
  2. Next, add one or two ladles of Fructose, depending on your desired sweetness levels.
  3. Then, stir in three (15ml each) scoops of strawberry flavour powder and one scoop (15ml) of creamer.
  4. Before we shake up our ingredients, add one scoop of brown-sugar-soaked or hazelnut-soaked tapioca pearls to an empty cup, ready to pour our drink into it.
  5. Now fill the shaker with ice to the 500ml line. Adding ice cubes to the shaker before mixing creates the signature frothy and chilled texture of bubble tea. Shake for 3-5 seconds until well-mixed.
  6. Pour the drink into the cup, covering the tapioca balls with our luscious milk tea.
  7. To finish, add creamy snow foam made from our creamy snow powder and heart marshmallows to make the perfect strawberry Valentine’s Day delight!

Recipe 2: Strawberry Explosion Fruit Tea

For this light and refreshing strawberry fruit tea, you will need the following ingredients:

  • Jasmine Green Tea Leaves: Fruit teas use a green tea base and the distinctive jasmine aroma of these leaves provides a powerful and flavourful base for our drink.
  • Strawberry Crushed Syrup: This syrup brings a strawberry infusion and sweetness to our tea.
  • Fructose Syrup: One ladle should do the trick in this drink, but add to taste.
  • Strawberry Popping Boba: These juicy, aromatic strawberry popping bobas add an explosion of flavour when you bite into them.
  • Strawberry Jam: Optional to add to your drink with the popping balls, this adds a thick, dreamy layer of strawberry ooze and bits to the bottom of the drink
  • Ice Cubes: Ice cubes are essential for creating a refreshing fruit bubble tea.

Once you have acquired these ingredients, follow these steps to make a mouthwatering strawberry fruit tea!

  1. Start by adding 200ml of Jasmine Green Tea to your cocktail shaker, forming the base of our drink.
  2. Then, add four pumps of strawberry-flavoured syrup to sweeten and add our core flavour to the tea.
  3. For additional sweetness, a ladle of fructose can be added.
  4. Now fill the shaker with ice to the 500ml line.
  5. Before we shake, prepare our empty cup by adding a scoop of strawberry popping boba and a spoonful or two of strawberry jam for additional flavour and texture.
